India announce squad for Asia Cup, Virat Kohli returns

Team India squad for the upcoming Asia Cup has been announced. Virat Kohli, who was rested for West Indies limited-over series, has been included. KL Rahul, who underwent groin surgery in June and recently recovered from COVID-19, has also been included. Fast bowlers Jasprit Bumrah and Harshal Patel weren't available for selection owing to injuries, the BCCI said.

India finished CWG 2022 on the fourth position on the medal standings. India won 22 gold, 16 silver and 23 bronze medals.
